Fees

Please note that the fees are non-refundable and applicants are advised to consider their availability for the exercise carefully before applying. Applicants may make payment via one of the following modes.

Payment Mode Remarks
Credit Card Applicants would be able to enter their credit card details online as part of the online application process.
Cash / NETS This option requires applicants to make payment in person at MOE’s Customer Service Centre.
Cheque / Bank Draft

Applicants may issue a cheque (issued by a Singapore-based bank) or a bank draft drawn on a bank in Singapore. Payment should be made payable to “SINGAPORE EXAMINATIONS AND ASSESSMENT BOARD”, and the cheque should be crossed.

The applicant’s name, BC/UIN Number and the test level which the applicant is applying for must be written on the reverse of the cheque / bank draft. Please note that incomplete applications would not be accepted.

Reporting for SPERS-Sec Tests

Applicants whose applications are in order will receive an official notification from the Singapore Examinations & Assessment Board (SEAB) within one to two weeks of application (latest by 7 Oct 2011). The official notification will include the applicant’s SPERS-Sec Entry Proof (with Index Number) and instructions for applicants.

The SPERS-Sec tests, comprising English and Mathematics, will be conducted on 13 Oct 2011 (Thursday) at Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 9, 1 Expo Drive, Singapore 486150. All applicants are to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the tests and be seated at their assigned desks at least 15 minutes before the tests’ commencement.

Preparing for the Tests

Applicants are expected to know and be familiar with the Singapore syllabus of the subject at the level preceding the level of the SPERS-Sec tests. For example, if you are seeking admission into Secondary 2, you will be assessed on the topics covered in Singapore schools in Secondary 1. If you are seeking admission into Secondary 1, you will be assessed on topics in Primary 6. Applicants who are unable to return to Singapore in October to sit for the SPERS-Sec tests can take part in a supplementary placement exercise in December 2011. The posting results of the supplementary placement exercise will be released (tentatively) in early February 2012.
